Hello, we are Garry & Holly of Holgaryn Kennels, we are a small family run kennel in the Welsh Valleys being involved the the breed for the last 14 years.
Myself Holly, and my husband Garry actually got together through the love of the
breed. Garry travelled all the way to Ireland where I was then living, from Wales,
to buy a DDB at the Libertia Kennels, and came home with our first girl Indy and
also myself...so for that we have much to owe her!! From there we settled in Wales
and decided to set up our own kennels and so HOLGARYN was founded 6 years ago.
We
are very much involved in the breed and strive to work as closely to the breed standard
as possible. We have carefully selected the dogues we own to improve lines, conformation
and type, together with a wonderful temperament, which has to be the most important
factors in any breeding program.
All of our dogues are part of the family.We enjoy taking long strolls up the mountain
with them and they usually enjoy a swim in the river......you would be surprised
at how athletic they are for such big dogs! They all enjoy a good diet and have plenty
of exercise as health and well-
Showing is our main hobby
and we like to show in the UK and also in Ireland, we are hoping to exhibit some
of our Dogues in Europe later in 2012. We do breed the occasional litter, however
we only breed to improve and enhance our own kennels....see our puppy pages for updates.
We have worked hard to incorporate old established lines with the dogues that we
have, and have not just chosen to use stud dogues that are current champions or show
winners, but have researched and used dogues that have many other qualities that
compliment our own lines.
